Snow on Your Nose

Well, a few days ago, we finally received a blanket of white. A bit shy past Christmas, but at least we had a white New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

So before the snow melted, I took Teddy outside to get some photos. Alas, he moves so fast, it's very hard to photograph him with the camera I currently have. His high puppy energy and the slow timing to get the freaking flash to work on this camera do not go well together.

Out of all the photos I took, this was one of the best shots.

Teddy is our Border Collie/Golden Retriever puppy. He is a little over 5 months old in this photo. We adopted him back on November 3rd of last year (2012) from a reputable and highly recommended rescue from Yakima, WA. In addition to Teddy, we adopted another dog from the same rescue back in late June of 2012, our "middle child", Nellie (Border Collie/Australian Shepherd). I hope to go back to the rescue in the spring or summer to help volunteer and in the meantime, I am making care packages of blankets, money for dog food, and dog toys which the rescue is in constant need of.
